Memorial Weekend

For Memorial Day, I have never been with HP because this is a BIG fishing weekend, however this year we met up with some friends in Island Park so we were able to be together this year. HP and his buddy went fly fishing a little bit and I hung out with my buddy and all the kids had a blast. We did a lot of family activities like. . . Riding four wheelers, fishing with kids, kids swimming in the local lake, smore's by the campfire and visiting Yellowstone!! This was a much needed vacation. It was a great rejuvenator. We stayed in a nice sized cabin right on the water. The view was awesome.

We saw 6 or 7 Bears in Yellowstone, lots of Elk, Buffalo with their babies, lots of animals. Check out the pictures. . .

Right in the center of the picture, you can see a cinnamon colored Black Bear eating on an Elk Carcus. Sorry, didn't want to get closer, plus the F&G Cop wouldn't let us!

This was a very good size Black bear. It reminded me of the one Matthew killed in Idaho! I was getting a little nervous it was walking in my direction, the guy beside me said he was only 20 yards away. You can see the bear later waded in the water hole to cool off.

This was the only peace and quiet for the whole day. . . only lasted 10 minutes and then one of them woke up! The Kids swimming outside the cabin. The water was a bit cold, but they didn't seem to mind. The dirtier the better for Austin! He is ALL BOY!
